The Tulsa Voice “My Black Life”

“On July 5, Black Moon, a collective of local black artists, debuted a new exhibition of works at the Tulsa Artists’ Coalition (TAC) Gallery downtown. My Black Life is dedicated to exploring the complicated concept of blackness through art and the personal stories of the artists.” - TTV My Black Life Article

This was a challenging assignment for The Tulsa Voice, but only because the art piece they wanted to feature on the cover was highly reflective so I had to work around the window light coming into the art gallery. I love this piece by Alexander Tamahn called “Black Peopling”. I tried to get creative in a few shots and use some reflections and environmental elements.
