World Pizza Champions: The Pursuit of Pizza Cookbook

I’ve been working with Mike Bausch, owner of Andolini’s Restaurant Group, for many years now so when he told me about the World Pizza Champions and his dream of making a cookbook with all 40+ chef I was stoked! In January 2023 all of the World Pizza Champions flew to Tulsa, OK for the week long photoshoot at one of Mike’s restaurants downtown. I got to work with a wonderful food stylist, Lisa Riley, and creative directors from the book publisher to photograph about 8 chefs every day (and yes we ate about 8 slices of pizza every day!). I was in heaven. We photographed each pizzaioli’s ingredients, process, final pizza, and captured portraits of them as well. At the end of the week the World Pizza Champions threw the Guinness World Record: World’s Largest Pizza Party right here in Tulsa! I loved every minute of this project and am so thankful I got to be a part of it, I also learned so much about pizza.
