Bali, Indonesia

After leaving Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, we headed off to Bali. I really didn’t know much about Indonesian food or culture prior to visiting, after the 10 days venturing through northern, central and southern Bali I had fallen in love with all of it. Their cuisine is some of the spiciest food I have ever tried, but really unique and delicious with coconut oil, peanuts and sambal in almost every dish. We spent time in cooking classes, farmer’s markets, hand-weaving shops, exploring a coffee and cinnamon farm, learning about what grows locally on a foraging walk, and eating our way through the best Warungs. We saw so many things that are vastly differently from life back home, it was a beautiful learning experience for me. This was one of those places you just want to photograph every single thing you see, but I also wanted to be present and take it all in at the same time. I’ve shared some Behind the Scenes photos at the bottom of this post for you to see me taking food photos and portraits in different environments.
